I own a slip roll former. I intend to put a slight curve in the sheet first. I
use an awl to put a dimple in the metal before hammering in the nail. Use
sections that cover only a bout three rib bays at a time, this makes for
easier repairs. Use two pieces, one for the bottom of the LE, applied first,
then a piece for the top. I intend to work from the LE back toward the spar,
and use a 2 x 2 to act as a "squeegee" to keep things flat, but that could
change. I'm using aluminum roll flashing from the hardware store. Way
cheaper than from AS&S. Don't forget to apply a sheet of approved felt over
the metal before covering. And use surgical tape to cover every cap strip or
other wood to wood joint that might show through or "work" through the fabric.

A reminder to all to get a copy of AC43.13 newly revised. Many of the
questions asked here are answered there. I also recommend Tony Bingelis'
books. They help do it right the first time.
