I have just finished my gear. I used Doug Fir. I first set them up with plywood vees to assemble and weld the fittings to. I think that the gear fittings are very challenging. If Repicraft sells those parts I would buy them. I had my parts CAD and plasma cut which came out perfect but I still had to bend. I jigged up a press and they came out great but this held up my building for a year or two figuring out how to do it. I am back and need to build my wings. I have rebuilt a Corvair to hang on the end. so its coming around. I love to hear about building. Keep it up. William Koucky Traverse City, MI
